Andhra CM Resolves 50-Year Land Dispute, Benefits 1,301 Farmers

Prakasam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced a permanent solution to a five-decade-old land dispute involving farmers in eight villages of Kondapi constituency in Prakasam district.

During a meeting with farmers at Narsingolu, the Chief Minister personally heard their grievances and addressed the long-pending issues concerning Garbhakandriga lands.

The decision covers 2,915.10 acres spread across eight villages in four mandals, benefiting 1,301 farmers, according to the information provided.

In Kondapi mandal, land rights were granted to 281 farmers for 1,003 acres in Ilavaru and Vennuru villages.

In Jarugumilli mandal, passbooks were issued to 569 beneficiaries for 1,260 acres in Pacchav, Vardineni Palem, Narsingolu and K. Bitragunta villages.

In Naguluppala Padu mandal, 430 beneficiaries received passbooks covering 567 acres in Obannapalem village.

In Singarayakonda mandal, passbooks were distributed to 21 beneficiaries for 62 acres in Kalikivaya village.

Farmers welcomed the decision and expressed gratitude to Naidu for addressing a land issue that had remained unresolved for nearly 50 years.
