New Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS) Chandni Chowk Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal on Saturday interacted with a large number of citizens and heard their grievances during a public hearing organised at the BJP Delhi State Office.
People from various parts of Delhi attended the hearing and presented both local and personal issues before the MP, said a statement issued by Delhi BJP.
During the public hearing, citizens raised a wide range of concerns relating to roads, sanitation, water supply, sewerage, electricity, traffic management, encroachments, trade and business-related matters, as well as other administrative and public welfare issues.
Khandelwal assured the participants that he would coordinate with the concerned authorities and departments to ensure the early resolution of their problems, the statement said.
Speaking on the occasion, Khandelwal said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, public service and continuous engagement with citizens remain the core principles of the BJP.
He stated that public hearings serve as an effective platform for direct communication between citizens and their elected representatives, enabling a better understanding of public concerns and facilitating timely action for their resolution.
He said that the suggestions and grievances received from the public play an important role in making governance and administration more responsive and citizen-centric.
He also directed the officials concerned to take prompt action on the matters raised and provide relief to the affected citizens at the earliest.
The citizens present at the public hearing expressed their appreciation to Khandelwal for patiently listening to their concerns and adopting a positive and proactive approach towards resolving their issues, the statement said.
Earlier, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor hit out at Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj for spreading lies about the Delhi government’s cycle distribution scheme for school girls.
The Delhi BJP spokesperson said that Bharadwaj is politically frustrated by the welfare schemes being introduced by the BJP government in Delhi for women and schoolgirls.
To hide his political frustration, Bharadwaj has been coming up with a new story every day about the bicycles being distributed by the Delhi government, said Kapoor.
