Actor Suniel Shetty meets Bihar CM, plans film shoot in state

Patna, Aug 10 (IANS) Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Monday during his visit to the state.

The meeting focused on film shooting opportunities in Bihar, art and cinema, and the government’s policies aimed at promoting the state as a filming destination. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary shared details of the meeting with Shetty on social media.

Speaking after the meeting, Shetty said the Bihar government has introduced several policies related to film production and shooting in the state. He described the conversation as positive and said there was a productive discussion about possibilities for film production in Bihar.

Shetty revealed plans to visit Bihar for a film shoot in October. He said Bihar has the potential to emerge as a major film destination and that his team is expected to stay in the state for around 50 to 60 days for the project.

According to him, the team will arrive in Bihar within the next week to scout locations. Once suitable sites are finalised, preparations for the shoot will begin. The team is also expected to explore different parts of the state to identify further filming opportunities.

Praising the people of Bihar, Shetty said they are warm‑hearted and affectionate. He observed that films performing well in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have a strong possibility of becoming major successes.

The actor also praised Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, saying people from the state remain deeply connected to their roots even after moving to cities such as Mumbai. He noted that Bihari people continue to preserve and value their culture wherever they live.

Shetty described his meeting with Samrat Chaudhary as a positive development for Bihar’s film industry and expressed optimism about the state’s growing potential as a destination for film production.
