New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS) As Booth Level Officers (BLO) continue to visit voters who have been issued Special Intensive Revision (SIR) notices, the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ashok Kumar said that till Thursday, 15,30,408 cases of “no-mapping” and “logical discrepancy” have been verified on the basis of documents collected from the voters.
“The BLOs are visiting such electors for whom notices have been generated to collect their documents and they need not come to the offices for their hearing,” the CEO’s office said in a statement.
The CEO said that with the objective of maximising the enrolment of young electors, special camps will be held on October 9 and 11 at all polling station locations of Delhi.
Similar camps were earlier organised on September 20 and 27 also at all polling station locations in Delhi.
“Electors are requested to visit the camps to enroll themselves in the electoral rolls at their place of residence,” the CEO’s office said.
All notices/claims and objections will be disposed by November 30, 2026, as per schedule of SIR, the statement said, reiterating the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) commitment that every eligible elector is added and no ineligible entries remain in the electoral roll.
The CEO said as per instructions of the ECI issued on October 1, a special drive is being conducted to enroll all left out eligible electors in the electoral rolls.
The BLOs will carry out house-to-house visit to identify such left-out electors to facilitate their enrolment through Form-6, wherever the person is found to be eligible.
“All those electors who have shifted from their earlier residence registered in the electoral rolls to other places in Delhi and were included in the list of Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate (ASDD) voters during House to House visit by BLOs may also file Form-6 for enrolment in the electoral rolls,” the CEO’s office said in the statement.
Earlier, special camps were organised for enrolment of homeless/transgender/sex workers at Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) night shelters and other places on September 23 and 24, the statement said.
