Bengaluru: The Bangalore City Police organised a special all-women service parade to mark International Women’s Day at the CAR headquarters in the city.
City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh attended the event and received the ceremonial salute during the monthly parade, which was dedicated to women personnel this time.
The parade was led by DCP Mohammed Sujeeta of the South East Division, while ACP Reena Suvarna of the Whitefield Division served as the second-in-command.

A special display titled ‘Rani Chennamma Pade’, inspired by the legacy of Kittur Rani Chennamma, showcased the law-and-order readiness, self-defence skills and courage of women police personnel.
During the programme, 60 women officers were felicitated for their dedicated service. The police also highlighted the ‘Parihar’ initiative aimed at supporting women beneficiaries.
An e-auto donated for women beneficiaries was displayed and honoured during the event. Officials said the programme was organised to recognise the strength, dedication and community service of women in the police force.
