Road Accident Claims Five Lives in Telangana

Hyderabad: In a heartbreaking incident, five members from two families, including two children, lost their lives in a road accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda district. The collision occurred late Sunday night in Miryalaguda, leaving a woman critically injured.

The tragic incident took place in Krishna Nagar colony on the Narketpally-Addanki highway when an unidentified truck collided with the victims’ car. The deceased, residents of Nandipadu village in Miryalaguda mandal, were returning home after visiting a temple in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Sadly, the accident happened just minutes away from their destination.

The victims were identified as Cherukupalli Mahesh (32), his wife Jyothi (30), daughter Rishita (6), Mahesh’s co-brother B. Mahender (32), and his son Leonis (2). Mahesh’s wife Madhavi sustained critical injuries and was initially taken to Miryalguda Area Hospital before being shifted to a private hospital.

The police have launched an investigation to identify and locate the unidentified truck, which hit the car from behind and fled the scene.
