New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, amidst the surging prices of vegetables, visited Azadpur Mandi in Delhi. During his visit, he engaged with vegetable sellers in the market, aiming to understand the challenges they face due to the rising costs.

The visit to Azadpur Mandi comes as vegetable prices continue to soar, with various varieties being sold at rates exceeding Rs 100 per kilogram. Notably, tomatoes have reached prices of over Rs 200 per kg in several parts of the national capital.

Just two days prior to this visit, Rahul Gandhi returned from Kerala, where he received treatment for a childhood knee injury.

In the recent past, Rahul Gandhi has been actively involved in various initiatives related to agriculture and workers’ concerns. He visited farm fields in Haryana’s Sonepat and participated in sowing paddy samplings. Additionally, he invited women farmers for lunch at his residence.

Furthermore, he took a truck ride from Murthal to Ambala in Haryana to better comprehend the challenges faced by truck drivers. He also met gig workers in Karnataka’s Bengaluru and even drove on a scooty with a delivery partner to experience their daily work.

His interactions with different segments of society have been diverse. He visited Delhi University’s PG Men’s hostel and had lunch with students. Additionally, he interacted with UPSC aspirants in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, and traveled to Jama Masjid and Bengali Market area in April this year.

Through his visits and engagements, Rahul Gandhi has been actively addressing various social and economic issues, seeking to connect with the people and understand their concerns firsthand.
