MP Government Declares Half-Day Holiday on Jan 22 for Ayodhya’s Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

Bhopal: In adherence to the Centre’s directive for its employees, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to close its offices for half a day on January 22, coinciding with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.

A notice issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) stipulates that, in light of the Ayodhya event, government offices and institutions in Madhya Pradesh will observe a half-day closure on January 22.

The state government officially announced the decision on Thursday night, declaring offices closed until 2:30 p.m. on January 22.

Furthermore, public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and regional rural banks (RRBs) nationwide will also experience a half-day closure, following the Department of Personnel and Training’s (DOPT) order for central government establishments.
