MP Bus Fire Incident: Death Toll Reaches 13

Guna: The death toll in the devastating bus fire tragedy in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district has climbed to 13, according to officials on Thursday. The incident unfolded when a bus, carrying around 35 passengers from Guna to Aron, caught fire after colliding with a truck.

Local police reported that 17 passengers were rescued by locals and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team, with some sustaining serious burn injuries. The injured are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Guna.

The accident occurred late on Wednesday, with the private bus overturning and catching fire after the collision with the truck. Unfortunately, only four passengers managed to escape the bus independently.

Among the deceased are women and children, with 11 bodies found charred inside the bus and two near the door. Guna District Collector Tarun Rathi confirmed the recovery of 13 bodies from the bus, while 17 individuals were successfully rescued.
