Hyderabad Police Bust Online Cricket Betting Syndicate, Apprehend 4 Individuals

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have successfully dismantled an online cricket betting syndicate, leading to the apprehension of four bookies.

During the operation, law enforcement authorities seized Rs 40 lakh in cash from the suspects and froze five bank accounts containing Rs 3.57 lakh.

Acting on credible intelligence, the Special Operations Team (SOT) from Madhapur and Miyapur police cooperated in apprehending the bookies from an apartment in Mathrusri Nagar within the jurisdiction of the Miyapur police station.

The individuals in custody have been identified as Aaluru Trinadh, Manam Rajesh, Bolle Swamy, and Marpenna Ganapathi Rao. They were allegedly orchestrating online cricket betting activities using the Cricket Live Guru and Lucky Online applications, focusing on matches from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
