CM Mohan Yadav to release 38th Ladli Behna instalment worth Rs 1,835cr tomorrow

Bhopal, July 11 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday will preside over a major state-level event at Lahar in Bhind district where he will execute a single-click transfer of more than Rs 1,835 crore directly into the accounts of over 1.25 crore women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, a press release issued on Saturday said.

This marks the disbursement of the 38th consecutive monthly instalment since the scheme’s inception in June 2023.

The Ladli Behna Yojana, widely regarded as one of Madhya Pradesh’s most popular welfare initiatives, provides continuous financial assistance to eligible women.

Following the government’s decision in November 2025 to raise the monthly support by Rs 250, each beneficiary has been receiving Rs 1,500 per month.

With 37 instalments already transferred successfully up to June 2026, the scheme has become a cornerstone of the state’s social security framework, ensuring economic empowerment and stability for women across the region.

Alongside the financial transfers, CM Yadav will inaugurate 40 completed development projects worth Rs 238.96 crore.

These projects span diverse sectors, reflecting the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and improving public amenities.

In addition, he will lay the foundation stones for 16 new welfare-oriented projects valued at Rs 83.33 crore.

These upcoming initiatives are designed to reinforce the area’s infrastructure in line with future requirements, ensuring sustainable growth and an improved quality of life for residents, the press release said.

The event in Lahar is expected to highlight the dual focus of the state government: empowering women through direct financial support and accelerating regional development through strategic investments.

By combining social welfare with infrastructure expansion, the administration aims to foster inclusive growth and long-term resilience in Madhya Pradesh.

This programme underscores the government’s emphasis on transparency and efficiency, with direct benefit transfers ensuring that assistance reaches beneficiaries without intermediaries.

The Ladli Behna Yojana has not only provided financial relief but also instilled confidence among women, positioning them as active participants in the state’s development journey, the press release said.
