Kavitha, Daughter of KCR, Arrested by ED in Delhi Excise Policy Case

Hyderabad: In a significant development, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and daughter of party President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday. The arrest is in connection to a money-laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy, following searches conducted at her residence in Hyderabad, as confirmed by the Enforcement Directorate.

Amid heightened security and protests by BRS leaders and supporters outside her residence, Kavitha was escorted by the ED team to Hyderabad Airport in Shamshabad, where she will be flown to Delhi.

Before departing, Kavitha embraced her family members, including her brother K.T. Rama Rao, and waved at supporters, displaying a ‘V’ sign. Despite the commotion, authorities ensured Kavitha’s safe transfer to the airport.
