Ayodhya: In its 60th year, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has announced plans to expand its organization to one lakh villages to address challenges facing Hindu society.
The decision was made during a three-day meeting of the Central Board of Trustees and the Governing Council of VHP in Ayodhya. Newly elected Secretary General, Bajrang Lal Bagra, highlighted the importance of spreading “Ramtva” to re-establish a cultured and strong Hindu society, now that the grand temple of Shri Ram has been rebuilt.
The organization aims to invoke the values of Lord Ram in the conscience of every individual, ensuring a committed and dedicated society. Discussions during the meeting also covered topics such as expanding Seva work, protecting cow progeny, stopping religious conversions, and accelerating the ‘Ghar-Wapsi’ (Home-Coming) initiative.
Representatives from various countries presented action plans to enhance coordination among Hindus globally. Additionally, the VHP expressed support for the Uniform Civil Code implemented in Uttarakhand and urged other states to follow suit to eliminate discrimination and ensure equal rights for all. Furthermore, the VHP emphasized the importance of expediting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to grant Indian citizenship to Hindu, Jain, Sikh, and Buddhist refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, who seek refuge in India due to religious persecution and socio-economic challenges.
