Hyderabad: BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha Dies in Tragic Car Accident

Hyderabad: Tragedy struck Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as MLA G. Lasya Nanditha, aged 33, lost her life in a devastating road accident near Hyderabad early Friday morning. The fatal incident occurred when the car she was traveling in collided with a road divider on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Patancheru. Unfortunately, the MLA succumbed to her injuries, while her driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Lasya Nanditha had recently been elected from the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, following in the political footsteps of her father, the late G. Sayanna, who served as a five-time MLA from the Secunderabad constituency until his passing on February 19, 2023, due to illness. Survived by three daughters, Sayanna’s eldest daughter, Lasya Nanditha, was fielded by the BRS in the November 30 Assembly elections.

This tragedy comes just days after Lasya Nanditha narrowly escaped with minor injuries in a previous road accident on February 13 at Narketpally. The earlier accident occurred while she was en route to Nalgonda to participate in a public meeting led by BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Regrettably, a home guard lost his life in that incident.
