Delhi Shivers as Mercury Drops to 4.8°C; Train Services Affected

New Delhi: On Sunday, Delhi experienced chilly weather as the minimum temperature dipped to 4.8 degrees Celsius, marking a departure of three notches below the season’s average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The humidity level reached 100 percent at 8:30 am.

With mainly clear skies and cold day conditions anticipated, the IMD had earlier forecasted the possibility of dense fog in the city from January 22 to 27. The frigid temperatures are impacting city-bound train services, with 11 trains reported to be running behind schedule. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly due to the prevailing weather conditions.
