Meet Singh: A third Indian-American candidate has entered the 2024 US presidential race

Newyork: A third Indian-American candidate has entered the 2024 US presidential race. Meet Singh, aged 38, who identifies as a lifelong Republican. In a video message shared on Twitter, Singh introduced himself as an “America First constitutional carry and pro-life conservative” and highlighted his role in restoring the conservative wing of New Jersey’s Republican Party since 2017.

This isn’t Singh’s first attempt at seeking public office. He previously ran for the US Senate in 2020 and has now decided to make his fourth bid for political leadership. Singh believes that Americans are facing significant threats from the corruption of big tech and big pharma. He also expressed concerns about attacks on American family values, parental rights, and open debate.

In his video message, Singh criticized the collaboration between Big Pharma and the government to promote mandatory experimental vaccines. He also condemned Big Tech for invading privacy and censoring political and dissenting opinions. With a call for strong leadership to restore American values, Singh announced his decision to seek the Republican Party’s nomination for the 2024 presidential election.

While praising Donald Trump, a fellow Republican candidate, as the “greatest president of his lifetime,” Singh believes America needs more than just Trump’s leadership. He asserted that it’s time to move past outdated politicians and called himself the “only pure-blood candidate for the President” due to his refusal to accept Covid vaccinations. Singh mentioned that even New Jersey’s Democrat Senate President once referred to him as “Trump on steroids.”

Currently, Singh faces tough competition among the Republican candidates, including Donald Trump, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Ramaswamy, Haley, Senator Tim Scott, and businessman/pastor Ryan Binkley. According to a recent Morning Consult poll, 59% of voters support Trump, with DeSantis at 16%, Ramaswamy at 8%, Pence at 6%, and Scott at 2%.

Born to Indian immigrant parents, Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, which he earned in 2009. He ventured into New Jersey politics in 2017, participating as a gubernatorial candidate, where he secured 9.8% of the vote share, finishing third in the race. Additionally, Singh was recognized as the Aviation Ambassador in 2003 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
