26 Candidates Enter Fray for Jammu Lok Sabha Seat

Srinagar: As the deadline for filing nominations closed, the Jammu Lok Sabha constituency witnessed a flurry of activity with nine candidates submitting their papers on Thursday. Set for the second phase of parliamentary elections on April 26, this constituency has drawn a diverse array of contenders vying for the seat.

Among the candidates who filed their nomination papers are Naresh Kumar Talla representing Jai Prakash Janta Dal, Qari Zaheer Abbas Bhatti from All India Forward Bloc, Naresh Kumar Chib representing Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party-Bhim, and Congress’ substitute candidate, Indra Bhalla.

Additionally, independent candidates C.D. Sharma, Satish Poonchi, Vicky Kumar Dogra, Perseen Singh, and Ravinder Singh have also thrown their hats into the ring by submitting their nomination papers to the Returning Officer.

Notably, BJP’s Jugal Kishore Sharma and Congress’ Raman Bhalla had previously filed their nominations, adding to the roster of contestants. With a total of 26 candidates in the fray, the electoral landscape in Jammu is poised for a keenly contested battle.
